Helping a friend
JT: [exacerbated] I was flipping six homes at a time in Omaha… I was up to my eyeballs.
Kent: And that’s when your buddy, Rob called?
JT: Yeah. He was here, five states away. I want to help, but what was I supposed to do, put all my renovations on hold and bring my entire crew over here?
Kent: His house got destroyed during hurricane Florence, right JT?
JT: That’s right, Kent.
Kent: But Rob needed you, so you came.
JT: So, I came. I helped Rob, then his neighbor, then his neighbour’s neighbour.
Kent: [surprised] Holy Cow.
JT: I can’t remember how many houses I repaired when I said to myself this has to stop. I can’t fix everything. I’m an F18 pilot, a specialist– I had to pick one thing.
Kent: Was it a hard choice?
JT: Nope. I picked the most important thing. The Roof.
Kent: [as a matter of fact] A hard-working roof protects the rest of the home.
JT: Kent, when I was repairing houses, my biggest concern was this roof better not leak. A roof that wouldn’t destroy all my hard work repairing the rest of the home.
Kent: [childlike] A roof with nooo quit.
JT: Stealing my lines now, are you?
Jingle: ***Maven Roof dot com***
Kent: [calling JT out] You can’t always have the coolest line, JT.
JT: Oh… it is sooo on.
